"....upon Adriana's suggestion we visited Ventanas, which I must tell you was one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever experienced, and I have seen many beaches in my life.  My friend said it was as good as the best in Hawaii."

The Exciting Costa Ballena....Now This is Costa RRRRica!

Enjoy Costa Rica's most deserted and diverse beaches....
including our own "Secret Beach" Collection and Ballena National Marine Park

Our local coast - now one of Travel and Leisure's hottest Destinations for 2015 -  offers some of Costa Rica's finest  beaches - easily accessed by the newly paved CostaNerra highway. Even for peak holidays, these vast beaches absorb the few day-to-day visitors leaving you to experience privacy and seclusion. These beaches are far different form those in the more developed areas of Guanacaste and Manuel Antonio. There are no Hotels or homes along them, very few people - and the pristine, green mountains behind form a backdrop you can never forget. Each cove (see photo) promises a new discovery - even a glimpse of resident whales. These coves are lined up along a thirteen mile stretch of coastline.

The nearest beaches to RP are in Marina Ballena Natl Park - Playa Ballena and Hermosa and at our Private Beach Club ( the location remains a secret).  We look straight down on them from  RP - just a couple of miles as the "crow flies". The water temperature is in the low 80's.

Here, everyday holds the promise of a new Tropical Safari.  Costa Ballena (Whale Coast) is so named because  of the large native population of whales that reside here.  Many refer to the area as "the last-best place" - where a sense of paradise still exists within an always-green backdrop. This is one of the country's last areas where large tracts of primary rain-forest still thrive.  And where the warmth of Costa Rica's people can still be felt.

Thanks to a new road, this exciting topography can now be easily explored and enjoyed. Conveniently access 13 spectacular beaches, miles of hiking trails, 4wd roads, indigenous villages and jungle rivers. It's a nature lover's dream with waterfalls to swim in and wildlife to see closeup  (like sloths, toucans, monkeys, jaguarundis, anteaters, tree frogs and much more).  The "real Costa Rica" is still alive and well here!
